A very warm welcome!
We are a Christian fellowship based in and around the Vendee & Deux Sevres and although the header is not taken from one of our meetings, it is nonetheless, a surprisingly good analogy!
From here, the similarities are less obvious: whilst some of us are apparently young and attractive, others of us are, well, a lot older and less active.
But for those of us who follow Jesus, age is far less relevant than you might think - and this could be your last chance to grow, and gain the ultimate prize: the gift of eternal life.
So you see, in talking about heavenly or supernatural things, to which we cannot easily refer, we follow Jesus' use of parables by using an analogy.
We would love to meet you so why not come along and we can have a real, proper chat - particularly if you are interested in spirituality or are feeling worried or need answers to difficult questions. We are here to help!
We are an Association Culturel W851001773 (1901)
Our spiritual accountability is to Rev Richard Fothergill, the Director of "The Filling Station".
We are members of the EEPV (The Entente Evangelique Protestante de Vendee).
Who is God?
Give your modern mind a rest! He still is the maker of Heaven & Earth and all that is therein including the visible and invisible world. He is also the God of love, light, beauty, who laid down the laws of nature and created man to give Him company.
So what went wrong?
In short, the fall. A heavenly rebellion against God led to satan's expulsion and his consequent residence on earth as Prince of this world. It is as a result of the temptation and fall of Adam, to whom we are related, that we find ourselves in a mess which is leading downwards into chaos and judgement.
And the good news is?
If you believe in Jesus wholeheartedly and follow him, you will be saved out of this fallen world! Don't let pride stand in the way of your salvation because it doesn't matter how good we are, only the blood of Jesus can pay the price for our right standing with God! So, the big question ought to be, "How do we find Jesus? And quickly.."
